Hunter-gatherers comparative ecology

We work with hunter-gatherer populations mainly in Congo and in the Philippines, but now we are extending it to other regions. Hunter-gatherers offer the closest existing examples of human lifestyle and social organisation in the past, offering vital insights into human evolutionary history. We compare hunter-gatherers behavioural and biological adaptations, to understand how selective pressures in the human foraging niche have shaped human life-history, social structure, mate systems and cumulative culture.
